The inspection, minus the lost day
Melbourne’s south-east runs on rideshare, and every one of those cars needs its annual inspection. The difference between testers isn’t the checklist — that’s set by the scheme — it’s the downtime. We book you to a time, not a queue; the inspection takes about an hour; and if something needs attention you get a written quote and a yes-or-no, never a surprise.
We are a licensed Victorian vehicle tester — the accepted route for booked-only CPV annual inspections — not the scheme’s appointed provider, and we say that plainly because drivers deserve plain.
The hybrid deadline most drivers haven’t heard about
Most Uber cars here are Camry, RAV4 or Prius hybrids — and from 1 September 2026 Victoria only lets EV-category-accredited testers inspect hybrids and EVs. Our accreditation doesn’t currently cover that category, so we can’t book a hybrid or EV Uber inspection just yet. Petrol and diesel Ubers are unaffected: book once, $330 flat, about an hour.
While it’s on the hoist
Rideshare kilometres are hard kilometres: brakes, tyres and suspension wear at double time. Pair the inspection with a logbook service ($349, or $299 for Chinese brands and diesels) and the car earns uninterrupted until this time next year.

Yes — from 1 September 2026 any hybrid or EV must be inspected by a tester holding Victoria’s new EV category, and our accreditation doesn’t currently cover it, so we can’t inspect a hybrid or EV Uber at the moment. A petrol or diesel Uber is unaffected and stays $330 flat here.
