This is a paid diagnosis, not a free check or free quote. Diagnostics are paid in advance by card. Once our team approves your booking we’ll text you a secure card payment link — your appointment is confirmed once it’s paid. Bank transfer is not accepted, and the diagnostic fee is not deducted from repair quotes. Change of plans? Free cancel or reschedule up to 2 business days before. Inside 2 business days: free reschedule, or $100 retained if you cancel. A no-show (or cancelling after your start time) keeps the full pre-paid amount — though if we manage to fill your slot, we refund the difference. If we have to cancel or reschedule, you always get a full refund.
We do our own diagnosis
Tell us what the car is doing and where it is playing up — that is genuinely useful, and it tells us where to start. But we always carry out our own diagnostic testing and reach our own conclusion.
That is not us dismissing what you have been told. It is because we warrant the work we carry out, and we can only stand behind a repair we have diagnosed ourselves. Fitting a part on someone else’s diagnosis is how people end up paying twice for the same fault — once for the part that was guessed at, and again for the one that actually fixes it. So we will not carry out a repair on a self-diagnosis alone.

The two hours are still used – we run live data, physical checks and pattern history against whatever codes are present. If we can’t reproduce the fault on the day, we document exactly what we tested and found in writing. We won’t invent a fix for something we couldn’t confirm, and the booking has still paid for a genuine diagnostic effort, not a guess.
