PrestigeTow is a breakdown towing membership built around one idea: the tow should have a useful destination. An eligible breakdown tow brings your car to our Cranbourne West workshop, a diagnostic assessment normally $374 is included once a year after an eligible tow, and you get a written PrestigeOS health report with workshop-confirmed repair recommendations — so the tow moves the car toward an answer, not just off the road.
Benefits start exactly 48 hours after payment is confirmed — this is not same-day breakdown help. One membership belongs to one nominated registration.

About $9.60 a week or $1.37 a day as a way of budgeting it — the payment itself is one annual amount. Two casual tows at our published $279 rate would cost $558; the membership is $59 less than that if you needed both, before the included diagnostic.

The tow has a useful destination
Most towing ends with the car dropped somewhere and the problem still a mystery. PrestigeTow is built the other way around. An eligible tow brings the car to a workshop that can actually deal with it: your included diagnostic assessment — up to two hours of testing that is normally $374 — runs after the car arrives, with priority booking subject to workshop capacity. You get a digital PrestigeOS health report showing what we tested and found, and workshop-confirmed repair recommendations in writing, quoted separately for you to approve or decline.
Repair work, parts, programming, strip-down and any labour outside the included diagnostic assessment remain separate, and nothing proceeds without your approval.
What the benefits add up to — if you use them
If both PrestigeTow callouts and the diagnostic assessment are used in the year, the stated service value is $558 of towing plus a $374 diagnostic — $932 of stated service value against the $499 membership price, a difference of $433. On PrestigeTow+, all three callouts plus the diagnostic come to $1,211 of stated service value against $739, a difference of $472.
Read that the way we mean it. Stated service value is what those services would cost individually at our published prices if you used every one of them. It is not cash, not a credit, not a refund, and not a promise that you will need any of it — a membership year where nothing goes wrong uses none of the benefits, and unused benefits expire at the end of the membership year. If you never break down, the honest description of what you bought is the year of standing arrangements, not $932 of services.
What an eligible tow is — and is not
PrestigeTow is for mechanical or electrical breakdown towing only. An eligible tow is one of two routes: from the breakdown location to StarTech Prestige, or from StarTech Prestige to the member’s verified home address. The route must stay within 30 km of our workshop at 8B Universal Way, Cranbourne West — eligibility is confirmed against the actual addresses when the request is made, not by suburb name.
PrestigeTow does not apply to crashes or collisions, accident-scene recovery, emergency or police-directed towing, theft, fire, flood or vandalism, bogged or off-road recovery, vehicle transport unrelated to a breakdown, towing to another mechanic, or transport between unrelated locations. Accident towing in Victoria is a separately regulated service and is arranged through the authorities or your accident processes, not through PrestigeTow.
Towing is arranged as promptly as reasonably possible — real-world timing depends on the contractor’s position and the hour, so we never quote an arrival time in advance. Benefits begin exactly 48 hours after confirmed payment, which is why joining mid-breakdown does not make tonight’s tow a member tow. One membership belongs to one nominated registration; changing the nominated vehicle is handled through the member portal.

Can I join while I’m broken down and use it straight away?
No — benefits start exactly 48 hours after your payment is confirmed. If you are broken down right now, the right product is a casual tow at $279 incl. GST within 30 km, and you can join PrestigeTow afterwards for the next time.
Where does the tow take my car?
To our workshop at 8B Universal Way, Cranbourne West — or, for the second permitted route, from our workshop to your verified home address once work is complete. PrestigeTow does not tow to other mechanics or between unrelated locations.
What does the included diagnostic assessment involve?
Up to two hours of diagnostic work — normally $374 — once per membership year, after an eligible tow arrives with us. You get a written PrestigeOS health report and workshop-confirmed repair recommendations. Any repair is quoted separately in writing for you to approve or decline.
Can two cars share a membership?
No. One membership belongs to one nominated vehicle registration. A second car needs its own membership — that is what keeps the callout allowance honest for every member.
What happens to callouts I don’t use?
They expire at the end of the membership year. PrestigeTow is priced as a year of standing arrangements, not a bank of tows — if your year is trouble-free, the benefits simply lapse at renewal.
Is my distance from the workshop eligible?
The route of each callout must stay within 30 km of 8B Universal Way, Cranbourne West. We confirm eligibility against the actual pickup address when you request the tow — suburb names are a guide, the measured route is the rule.
Planned — not yet membership benefits
As the membership base grows we plan to add mobile mechanic callouts, battery replacement and jump-start assistance. These are planned services, not current membership benefits — no launch date and no pricing yet, and nothing here should be read as a promise of them.
