Selling a caravan, camper or trailer in Victoria? You’ll need a roadworthy certificate. We’re a licensed Victorian vehicle tester in Cranbourne West — caravan & trailer RWCs are $500 + GST ($550 incl. GST), with any fails explained clearly and fixable in-house.

A caravan or trailer RWC checks the items that make it safe to tow on Victorian roads:
- Coupling, safety chains and shackles
- Brakes (where fitted — override or electric) and breakaway systems
- Wheels, tyres (age, wear and load rating) and wheel bearings
- Suspension, chassis, drawbar and underbody condition
- Lights, reflectors and wiring plug
- Body mountings, doors and any gas/water fittings affecting safety
If it fails, you get a clear written list of exactly what’s needed — and because we’re a full workshop, most fails can be repaired here and re-checked without dragging the van somewhere else.

$500 + GST ($550 incl. GST) at our Cranbourne West workshop. If repairs are needed to pass, we quote them in writing before any work is done.
Generally when transferring registration to a new owner — the same as a car. Unregistered trailers being registered may also need one. If you’re unsure whether yours needs a certificate, call us and we’ll tell you straight.
Yes — caravans, camper trailers and box/utility trailers. Book online and pop the type and approximate size in the notes so we can allow the right time.
You’ll get a written list of the fail items. You can have us repair and re-check it here, or fix the items elsewhere and return within the re-test window.
