Ranger Servicing

Serviced to the schedule, not to a sales target

Your Ranger runs the 2.0L bi-turbo and 3.2L five-cylinder diesel (plus the 3.0L V6), with a manufacturer service interval of every 15,000km or 12 months. We service to that schedule using correct-specification oil and filters, and we stamp your logbook every time — so your new-car warranty stays fully intact under Australian Consumer Law.

What we watch for on the Ranger

  • DPF and EGR soot — short trips clog both. We scan regeneration history rather than guessing, and clean before parts are needed.
  • Coolant hoses and thermostat housings — a known weep point on the 3.2. A cheap hose beats a warped head every time.
  • Bi-turbo oil quality — the 2.0 twin-turbo is sensitive to oil condition and stretched intervals. We use the correct specification, not “close enough”.

Anything we find beyond the scheduled service is quoted in writing and approved by you before we touch it. If it can wait, we tell you it can wait. Need a roadworthy at the same time ($275–$330)? Add it to the same booking.

FAQ

Ford Ranger Service — FAQ

It depends which scheduled service is due and what your Ranger needs, so we won’t invent a number. You get a fixed written price before any work starts — call 03 8782 0711 or book online and we’ll confirm it.

No. Under Australian Consumer Law your new-car warranty stays intact when the vehicle is serviced to the manufacturer’s schedule with appropriate parts — exactly what we do, with the logbook stamped every time.

The manufacturer schedule is every 15,000km or 12 months. Heavy towing, short suburban trips or dusty work sites can mean earlier attention — tell us how you use it and we’ll advise honestly.

Yes — current and older models. We service all makes and fuel types at our RACV-accredited Cranbourne West workshop, with European specialisation.
