After Toyota Capped-Price Servicing Ends

The capped years are the cheap years by design. Here is how to keep the bills sane when the cap comes off.

The Cliff

Why year six feels different

Toyota’s capped-price program is genuinely good value while it lasts — and it lasts exactly as long as the cars need least. When the cap ends, dealer servicing reprices to standard rates just as the car enters the years where real items fall due: fluids, brakes, suspension wear, the 100,000 km-plus services with substance in them.

The independent answer keeps the arithmetic honest: logbook servicing from $349 incl. GST (HiLux and diesel utes from $299), every interval priced in writing first, and wear flagged early with the quote separate so you choose. Toyota schedules, Toyota-appropriate parts, none of the post-cap repricing.

StarTech Prestige is an independent workshop, not affiliated with or authorised by Toyota Motor Corporation Australia or its dealer network. Marque names describe the vehicles we service.

FAQ

Conditional extensions vary – read yours carefully. The base warranty follows Australian Consumer Law: qualified workshop, schedule kept, appropriate parts, warranty intact.

The six-monthly services stay modest from $299; the difference-makers are condition items – brakes, fluids, driveline service if towing. We quote each in writing as it approaches, never as a surprise.

Rarely for the logo alone – quality equivalents meet the standard for most items, and we say honestly where genuine is worth it (and fit it when it is).
