Seaford EV Servicing — Salt Air & Silent Cars, $400

Seaford EVs live minutes from the water, and the sea sends its regards: salt air finds connectors, brake hardware and underbodies faster than anywhere inland. The flat $400 incl. GST EV service here leans coastal — corrosion-aware inspection, written report, twenty minutes up from the beach.

What the coast does to an electric car

Regen already lets discs sit idle; salt air makes idle discs corrode faster and sliders stick sooner — the classic coastal-EV brake pattern. Connectors and earth points age quicker too, and the 12-volt’s terminals grow their little white gardens. Our inspection list adds the coastal items to the standard ones: measured tyres, load-tested battery, coolant circuits, cabin filter, and the brake hardware actually looked at, not assumed.

Beach-day loads, weekday hops

The Seaford double: five-minute errands all week, then a loaded car to the foreshore all summer. Short-trip life taxes the 12-volt; loaded runs test tyres. Both live in the written report — with honest kilometres-remaining, not scare quotes. A hybrid or EV roadworthy needs a tester holding Victoria’s EV testing category — our accreditation doesn’t currently cover it, so those certificates aren’t available from us just yet. EV and hybrid servicing here is unaffected.

FAQ

EV Service Seaford — FAQ

Same schedule, sharper inspection — the interval holds, but brake hardware and connectors deserve the coastal eye every visit. That’s built into how we service Seaford cars.

Often, yes — salt plus dust in moving parts. Usually a clean-and-lubricate service item, not a repair; we’ll note it in the report either way.

Not at the moment. A hybrid or EV roadworthy needs a tester holding Victoria’s EV testing category — our accreditation doesn’t currently cover it, so those certificates aren’t available from us just yet. EV and hybrid servicing here is unaffected. If the car is petrol or diesel, that roadworthy is $330 flat, certificate on site.
