Pricing

What car air-con sanitising costs in Melbourne (and what you get)

One fixed price, published up front: $330 incl. GST for the evaporator foam clean and disinfection. Here is exactly what that buys and what it doesn’t.

What you get

What’s included in the $330 price

The Car Air-Con Disinfection & Foam Evaporator Clean is one package, one fixed price. Cleaning foam goes into the evaporator core through the drain or vent access, dwells against the surface, then drains away. We finish with an anti-bacterial disinfection of the vents, ducts and evaporator housing. $330 incl. GST, chemical treatment only.

Foam evaporator clean

Reaches the core itself, not just the vents – where the growth that causes a musty or sour smell actually starts.

Vents & ducts disinfected

An anti-bacterial treatment through the vents, ducts and evaporator housing, finishing the job.

$330 incl. GST, fixed

The price is the price. Nothing is added unless you say yes to it first.

Cabin filter

What the cabin filter adds

A cabin (pollen) filter replacement is not part of the $330 and is charged extra – we quote it before we fit it, because the price depends on the car. We recommend doing it alongside this package: a blocked filter holds moisture against the evaporator and can re-seed the smell soon after the treatment.

Straight talk

What’s not included

This is a hygiene treatment, not a refrigerant service – if your air-con isn’t cold, that’s a re-gas or repair question. We leak-test first and quote any refrigerant work in writing, separately. It also doesn’t cover a coolant leak, a blocked evaporator drain causing water in the carpet, or a physical blockage like a nest in the ductwork – if we find one of those, we tell you and quote the fix separately. And if the smell turns out to need a proper diagnosis rather than a treatment, that sits under our standard $374 incl. GST diagnostic booking, not this package.

Timing

How long it takes

The foam needs time to dwell on the evaporator core before it’s drained, so this takes longer than a simple spray-through treatment. We confirm the exact time when you book, once we know the car and can check evaporator access – some models make the core easy to reach, others don’t, and if we can’t reach it on yours we say so before starting and there is no charge.

FAQ

Air-con sanitising cost — FAQ

$330 incl. GST for our disinfection and foam evaporator clean package – a fixed, published price, cabin filter extra if you need one.

No. It’s charged extra and quoted before we fit it, because the price depends on the car. We recommend it alongside this package since a blocked filter can re-seed the smell.

No. This is a hygiene treatment, not a refrigerant service. If the air-con isn’t cold, that is our separate regas, $250 incl. GST with the leak test first (if the test finds a leak, the $250 still applies, no gas goes in, and the repair is quoted in writing).

Longer than a basic disinfection, because the foam needs dwell time on the evaporator core. We confirm the exact time at booking, once we know the car.

We’re in Cranbourne West and take bookings from across the south-east, including Cranbourne, Clyde, Berwick, Narre Warren, Frankston, Dandenong and Pakenham, at the same $330 price.
