Serviced to the schedule, not to a sales target
Your Forester runs the 2.5L FB25 boxer petrol (and the e-Boxer hybrid), with a manufacturer service interval of every 12,500km or 12 months. We service to that schedule using correct-specification oil and filters, and we stamp your logbook every time — so your new-car warranty stays fully intact under Australian Consumer Law.
What we watch for on the Forester
- Oil consumption and leaks — boxer engines are known for weeping cam and head gaskets. We look for it at every service and tell you early.
- AWD tyre matching — mismatched tyre circumference destroys Subaru drivetrains. We measure and warn you before it costs a centre differential.
- CVT fluid condition — another “lifetime” fluid that isn’t, especially with towing or hills.
Anything we find beyond the scheduled service is quoted in writing and approved by you before we touch it. If it can wait, we tell you it can wait. Need a roadworthy at the same time ($275–$330)? Add it to the same booking.
Subaru Forester Service — FAQ
It depends which scheduled service is due and what your Forester needs, so we won’t invent a number. You get a fixed written price before any work starts — call 03 8782 0711 or book online and we’ll confirm it.
No. Under Australian Consumer Law your new-car warranty stays intact when the vehicle is serviced to the manufacturer’s schedule with appropriate parts — exactly what we do, with the logbook stamped every time.
The manufacturer schedule is every 12,500km or 12 months. Heavy towing, short suburban trips or dusty work sites can mean earlier attention — tell us how you use it and we’ll advise honestly.
Yes — current and older models. We service all makes and fuel types at our RACV-accredited Cranbourne West workshop, with European specialisation.
