Serviced to the schedule, properly
We service the Mazda BT-50 across the 3.0L 4JJ3 (2020-on, shared with the D-Max) and the earlier 3.2L P5AT (shared with the Ranger). Mazda schedules the current BT-50 at 12 months or 15,000km, whichever comes first. Older 3.2L models follow the earlier Mazda schedule — check your logbook.
Every service uses correct-specification oil and filters, covers every item the manufacturer lists for that interval, and finishes with a road test and a stamped logbook.
What we watch for on the Mazda BT-50
- DPF status. Utes doing short runs are the ones that block filters. We check at every service, not just when the light is on.
- EGR and intake carbon. Both generations carbon up with suburban work. Cleaning early is far cheaper than the alternative.
- Load and towing wear. If yours works, brakes, coolant and transmission fluid wear faster than the schedule assumes.

- We don’t give prices over the phone. Not for repairs. We can tell you what a scheduled service costs because that is a known job, but we will not guess at a repair from a description. The car needs to be here. A guess over the phone is either too high and you walk away, or too low and we have to ring you back with bad news — neither is fair on you.
- We don’t work off another workshop’s diagnosis. If someone else has told you what is wrong, we will listen, and then we will do our own diagnostic work before we quote or replace anything. We are the ones warranting the repair, so it has to be our finding. That means diagnostics is charged for our time — from $374, two-hour minimum — and it is not a free quote.
Once we have found the fault, you get a fixed written price and nothing happens until you approve it.
