How to set it right

Find your car’s placard pressures (usually on the driver’s door jamb or fuel flap) — not the max on the tyre. Check pressures when the tyres are cold (before driving far), including the spare, and adjust to the placard figure.

Higher loads (a full car or towing) often have a separate, higher recommended pressure — the placard lists it.

Why it matters

Under-inflation wears the tyre edges, raises fuel use and hurts handling; over-inflation wears the centre and reduces grip. Correct pressure is free safety and saves money on fuel and tyres.

If a tyre keeps losing pressure it has a leak — get it checked. We check and set pressures as part of every service.

We’ll take care of it

Prefer to leave it to a specialist? We look after all of this as part of a service or a quick check — with honest advice on what your car actually needs, not what sells.
