BMW 3 Series Service Cost & Schedule
What does it cost to service a BMW 3 Series, and how often? A Cranbourne West BMW specialist explains the schedule and how to keep costs down (companion to our 3 Series problems guide).
How BMW servicing works
BMW uses Condition Based Servicing (CBS) — the car flags oil, brakes and other items as due. It’s convenient, but CBS can stretch oil changes further than we’d recommend, so we service to sensible intervals to protect the engine.
A typical service covers oil and filter, inspection and resets; periodic services add cabin/air filters, brake fluid and spark plugs.
What a 3 Series service costs
Dealer 3 Series servicing is expensive. We do the same work with dealer-level ISTA diagnostics for noticeably less, correct oil and genuine-quality parts, logbook stamped so your warranty stays intact.
Cost depends on the service type and engine (a 320i differs from an M340i). We give a fixed written quote before we start.
Keeping 3 Series costs down
Sensible oil intervals, fix the known oil-leak and cooling items early, and don’t skip brake fluid — that’s the cheapest way to own a 3 Series. Book online and we’ll confirm what yours is due for.
