Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) - Cranbourne West
At Startech Prestige in Cranbourne West, we provide roadworthy inspections and certificates for European vehicles of all makes and models.

In Victoria, a roadworthy certificate (RWC) is required to buy, sell or re-register a used vehicle. In some cases an RWC may also be required to clear a police defect. The roadworthy inspection must be carried out by an authorised car mechanic in line with VicRoads guidelines.

A roadworthy inspection is designed to ensure that a vehicle meets the minimum safe operating requirements to drive on Australian roads. The inspection does not assess the mechanical reliability of the vehicle or the general cosmetic condition.
The inspection includes:

-
Suspensions and braking systems
-
Steering, wheels and tyres
-
Lights and reflectors,
-
Seats and seat belts
-
Vehicle structure
-
Windscreen and windows including front wipers and washers
-
Safety related things on the chassis, body or engine

If your vehicle passes the inspection, you will be issued with an RWC on the spot. If it fails, you will be provided with a rejection report outlining the repairs required. Depending on the extent of the repairs, our mechanics may be able to take care of them on the spot. Otherwise, we can organise for you to leave your vehicle with our service centre for repairs and certification. Our roadworthy inspection service is designed to save you time and money.
